Aurion Capital Management

Canadian Equity
Investment Team

Aurion believes that over the long term the Canadian market rewards earnings growth while over the medium term the market movements are cyclical. However, within the short term there are pricing anomalies which exist and which can be capitalized on.

Aurion has a distinct investment process within the industry. We have full integration of the investment process with the Portfolio Manager performing the research of companies, performing the portfolio management function as well as the trading of securities. This enables the investment team to quickly digest market developments and act on them, therefore enhancing portfolio returns.

Core Canadian Equity

Aurion believes that value can be added in two ways: 1) construction of a superior index-relative portfolio with a modest growth bias and 2) active trading around established positions.

Aurion constructs a diversified portfolio of equity investments based on bottom up security selection mainly relying on industry relative factors. The portfolio is generally large cap with market like risk and valuation characteristics, and modestly superior growth fundamentals.

Uniquely, Aurion trades portfolio positions using pricing anomalies, supply/demand mismatches, short-term relative attractiveness and other information flows.
